DOUG SELWAY

For me, everything begins with drawing, so I started with drypoint and engraving. I love the density of the ink, it giving me blacks that I cannot find in any other media and I love the committed, intractable line of a drypoint needle on the plate. I have spent a working life either teaching or making my own work, usually in a reasonably productive combination of both. I've recently been working on relief engraving and screenprinting, and doing a lot of painting.
